Switzerland Part 2: Through the Val Müstair to the Italian borderAfter a cold and rainy day in the Albula Hospiz we woke up to the beeping sound of the snowplow. Wait, snowplow? That’s right. We peeked outside the window and in front of us lay a snow-covered landscape in the beginning of August. Good for us, this means we can test our winter clothes a little bit earlier than planned.

Switzerland Part 1: The first days on the roadAfter weeks of planning and our beautiful wedding the departure date finally arrived. We cleared the apartment, put everything in a box and spent the last night in empty rooms on our mattresses and surrounded by our cycling equipment. We were too exhausted to even get nervous.

Thoughts before our departureAs we are writing these words, we are sitting in our empty living room in Baden where the only furniture consists of our bicycles, our bicycle bags and the sleeping bags. We even forgot to keep the coffeemaker for another day, which Lisa will regret soon enough. We just came back from our storage room, where we put our ordinary life in a box.
